Call for Participants: VanPPD 2016

We want to showcase all the amazing talent that is in our community at the upcoming Vancouver Pagan Pride Day (VanPPD)!

We are looking for the following:

RITUAL PRESENTERS for our “RITUAL ZONE“

Showcase your unique style of Paganism!
Attract potential new members!
Educate the community to your style of ritual!
Gain experience coordinating/writing rituals for a large audience!

Nervous or have questions about writing ritual for a larger audience? VPP is happy to help.

ACTIVITY FACILITATORS for our “ACTIVITY ZONE“

Is your path active and age inclusive?
Do you have a special crafty craft, Pagan-focused game, or recreational physical fun that you practice in your tradition?

Please indicate what age groups your activity is best suited but be prepared for those of us who are children at heart to be getting in there just like the little ones.

WORKSHOP INSTRUCTORS for our “WORKSHOP ZONE“

What is your Pagan passion/expertise?
We are seeking a variety of workshop topics (the more variety, the better)!

Please note that the event does take place in a public park and so some 18+ topics are not permitted.

PAGAN AMBASSADORS & LEADERS for our “INFORMATION ZONE“

Showcase your knowledge one-on-one answering the questions of seekers and the general public, or put on a scheduled 101 workshop on your path or your favourite pagan topic.

VPP will provide a list of FAQ and suggested answers to all one-on-one volunteers to make answering questions a breeze.

ENTERTAINERS for our “ENTERTAINMENT ZONE“

Dancers, singers, musicians, actors, hoop dancers, puppeteers…
Solo acts, groups, army’s
Path-specific performances

Each entertainment act will be allotted up to a maximum of 30-minutes, although more or less time can be scheduled, if needed.

PLEASE NOTE:

There is NO FEE for those participating by providing a workshop/ritual/entertainment. However, time, talent, and expertise is used.
VanPPD takes place in a public park and we are bound by the bylaws of said park as well as the conditions of our permit so not all activities may be approved.
We do not have access to electricity at the VanPPD event. There will a portable microphone at the performance space for performers and announcements. Presenters are expected to come self contained and prepared for the reality of the space.
